Welcome To the Gathering
Greetings,We are from the Lighthouse church called “The Gathering”. It is a Filipino/ Multicultural congregation in Mississauga, Brampton & Oakville with the purpose of reaching people with the good news of Jesus Christ.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT: To reach and influence the world by building a Christ centered, Bible based church changing the mind sets and empowering people to lead and impact in every sphere of life. We exist to glorify God by living His word, making disciples, training leaders, planting churches in Canada and reaching the world.
Our ministry is founded on two very important chapters in the Bible. Matthew chapter 22 and Matthew Chapter 28. In these two chapters we find the Great commandment and the Great Commission.
The Great Commandment says; "Teacher, which command in the law is the most important?" Jesus answered, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind." This is the first and most important command. And the second command is like the first: "Love your neighbor as you love yourself." All the law and the writings of the prophets depend on these two commands. Matthew 22:36-40 (ICB).
The Great Commission says; So go and make followers of all people in the world. Baptize them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach them to obey everything that I have told you. You can be sure that I will be with you always. I will continue with you until the end of the world.. Matthew 28:19-20 (ICB)
Evangelism, Fellowship and discipleship are all important parts of ministry.
Our services are conducted in English with a live praise and worship band with our congregation. We have an ample parking and will cater to what needs you have.
